Belles at the Bellevue

Philadelphia Charity Ball

A long Philadelphia tradition continued in suitably grand fashion Nov. 28 as more than 350 guests attended the 129th Philadelphia Charity Ball at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue. Since 1881, the event’s mission has been to raise funds for nonprofit organizations and to inspire young people to make philanthropy a central part of their lives. Dressed in stunning white gowns and sparkling tiaras, Main Line debutantes Katherine Anne Del Raso of Devon, Jessica Dunn Hamilton of Haverford, Christina Constance Pew of Bryn Mawr and Kelly Curran Frances Slota of Villanova were presented to Philadelphia society. Each year, a charity is selected by the debutantes and young men’s committee. The ball’s chosen beneficiary, HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy in West Philadelphia, received $20,000.
