Music of the Night

Delaware County Historical Society Gala

More than 200 guests may have left the black ties and costumes at home, but they did bring their festive attitudes to Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square on Oct. 30. All came out to enjoy an entertaining evening of music, food and friends at the Delaware County Historical Society’s Phantom of the Opera-themed gala. The renowned Opera Company of Philadelphia wowed the crowd with thrilling performances of some of the greatest hits from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic Broadway musical. The inaugural gala raised $60,000 for the society’s Passport to History program, an educational endeavor providing children with a passport to explore the various historical sites throughout Delaware County.
