Favorite designer: Yohji Yamamoto.

Style icon: Kiko Mizuhara. Her look is classic. I follow her on Instagram and in Japanese fashion magazines. I love the clean and simple Japanese aesthetic.

Go-to outfit on a Saturday night: A simple, black minidress from Asos, based in the UK, with high-heel tall boots and my Michael Kors bag—tan leather and shaped like a raindrop.

Her personal style: Edgy. I like a lot of leather, especially black leather. But I like cute, too, so I will wear a pink scarf with it.

Winter trend: Fuzzy ear warmers. I have several pairs: cream, pink and black. They are really cute.

Fashion awakening: In high school, I just threw on a hoodie. When I started studying photography, I became very interested in fashion. I am inspired by the photography of Louise Dahl-Wolfe for Harper’s Bazaar—so elegant and beautiful.

Favorite boutiques: Aoki Boutique on Rittenhouse Square, a lovely boutique. At UNIQLO, the sweaters are so comfy and they reflect Japanese style. I love Compendium Boutique in Swarthmore for its natural fibers and fabrics.

Indispensable item in her makeup bag: Maybelline Mega Plush mascara.

Favorite footwear: Ted Baker shoes—sandalwood platforms on the bottom, black leather on the top.

Worth the splurge: A great leather jacket from Urban Outfitters.
