Coming in 2016: Top Restaurants to Anticipate in the New Year

From fast-casual to formal, check out these anticipated restaurant openings coming to the Main Line this year.

The Main Line experienced a banner year for restaurant openings in 2015. That trend continues in 2016 with a barrage of new places to satiate our appetites. From well-known restaurants expanding, to some fresh new places, look for plenty of delicious new spots to dine in the coming months.

World of Beer will debut its first area location at Exton’s Main Street. Expect a craft beer mecca with 50 beers on tap and hundreds of bottles and cans, plus a serious craft cocktail menu. The food will focus on scratch-made tavern fare. 270 Indian Run St., Exton

Bryn Mawr Village will bring us Bryn & Dane’s, a healthy fast-casual concept with current locations in Horsham, Plymouth Meeting and the Ambler YMCA. La Colombe will also settle in the same retail and office center. Expect both to open sometime this summer. 900 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr

El Limon opened several branches of its popular Mexican restaurant last year and will debut Tierra Caliente just down the street from its Conshohocken outpost, which will have a liquor license. 128 Fayette St., Conshohocken

​Manayunk is shuffling a bit. Maya.J, with a menu of Indian, Mexican, Thai, Greek and Moroccan small plates, will be moving into the former Chabaa Thai location at 4371 Main Street. It’s expected to open the week of Jan. 18. Chef Moon Krapugthong’s Chabaa Thai is moving down the street to 4255 Main Street in the spring.

Restaurateur Dave Magrogan will open his sixth Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar this coming spring in Susanna Foo’s former space in Radnor. Magrogan’s newest Harvest will be a massive 7,000 square feet, featuring 200 seats in the dining room, 50 seats in an expansive new bar and a 60-seat private dining room. Three patios will accommodate 100 seats, one of which is a 25-seat private space. 555 E. Lancaster Ave., Radnor

We are still anxiously awaiting the opening of South Street staple Lorenzo and Sons Pizzeria in West Chester. In addition to its famous 28-inch pizza, the shop will offer personalized pizzas, strombolis, calzones, cheesesteaks, sandwiches and its own version of the infamous “Philly Taco.” 27 N. High St., West Chester

The highly anticipated King of Prussia Town Center, a new retail and dining destination that will be located in the same area as the King of Prussia Wegmans, should be open by summer. Look for signature restaurants Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Fogo de Chão, Paladar Latin Kitchen, Old Town Pour House, b. good, Naf Naf Grill and Honeygrow.

Another project in the works with an expected late summer opening is Devon Yard, next to the Devon Horse Show grounds. Marc Vetri’s Roman trattoria, Amis, as well as Pizzeria Vetri, are slated for the multipurpose retail and residential space.

Restaurateur Marty Grims of White Dog Café is opening up Autograph Brasserie in his former Peppercorn location. Chef Ralph Patrick Fernandes, formerly of Forage and currently manning the White Dog Haverford kitchen, will be behind the stove. 503 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne.

Manayunk’s Goat’s Beard, a comfort food and whiskey joint, will be opening a second location in Wayne, taking over Xilantro’s space. No word yet on when the changeover will occur. 103 N. Wayne Ave., Wayne.
