The scoop: A former private family retreat built in 1929, this resort is set on 1,500 acres bordering the Allegheny National Forest. The Big House is made of California redwood, and there are 12 stand-alone cabins. Seasonal activities and adventures—many complimentary for guests—are available on-site.
