» Nature Calls: One great way to spruce up a patio or deck is to give the furniture a makeover with new fabrics. That’s where Aubusson Home comes in. The Bryn Mawr-based home-decorating supplier boasts a variety of high-end names, including Tommy Bahama, Trina Turk, Kravet, Sunbrella and Brunschwig & Fils.
Trina Turk’s new collection by Schumacher features dramatic prints inspired by the pool-side lifestyles of Los Angeles and Palm Springs. “Trina’s line is definitely getting a lot of interest because of its bold designs,” says Aubusson Home owner Peggy Brehman. “The line also has a lot of the bright colors popular this summer season—like yellow, tangerine and turquoise.”
Once fabric selections are made, Brehman has a number of reputable upholsterers she trusts to get the job done, whether it’s chaise lounges or boat seats. Aubusson Home’s inventory translates to the interior as well. “Since the fabrics are water and stain resistant, they’re an attractive option for banquette seats, bar stools and seat cushions in the kitchen,” says Brehman.
