» Eat, drink and be merry: Hopefully, you’ve saved the date for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s annual Great Chefs Event on June 15. The area’s premier culinary event, this star-studded night features primo libations and cuisine, not to mention a chance to rub elbows with the likes of Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio, Iron Chef winner Jose Garces, 2009 Top Chef contestant Jennifer Carroll, Greek guru Michael Psilakis, New Orleans’ John Besh, and a slew of other big names from Philly, New York and beyond. This year, the event will be held at the Urban Outfitters headquarters in the Navy Yard, an increasingly popular backdrop for such mega see-and-be-seen gatherings. » The Matt Man returns: After several stop-start projects—including a “punk rock” barbecue joint in Manayunk—former Lacroix chef Matt Levin is back with Masano (the first two letters of his first name, plus those of each of his sons, Sam and Noah). The American bistro avec liquor license is in the Northern Liberties space formerly occupied by Coquette and involves one of his key investors and friends, former Eagle Jon Runyan.
