Q&A: Bernie Robbins Jewelers’ Cristen Cipa

The director of marketing shares her personal style.

Personal style: Versatile, eclectic and unique.

Favorite designers: Coco Chanel. Both a fashion designer and businesswoman, she created an iconic brand that extended beyond couture clothing into jewelry, handbags and fragrances. She created timeless designs that are still popular today.

Summer fashions she's wearing: Aviator sunglasses are a summer essential. I just bought a pair of Carrera’s.

Style icons: Jackie Onassis, Grace Kelly, Elle Macpherson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Charlize Theron, Blake Lively, Gwen Stefani and Erika Girardi.

Go-to casual outfit for a typical Saturday out: Denim paired with an Adidas tracksuit jacket and a comfortable platform espadrille, a stainless steel Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch and a stack of Penny Preville bangles.

Go-to casual outfit for a Saturday night out in the city: Black with some pop of color. I gravitate toward statement jewelry, like Evocateur’s cuff bracelets or Ippolita’s cocktail rings.

Favorite splurge: Stilettos and Marco Bicego jewelry.

Favorite item in her closet: Aureolin yellow Italian leather tote, a gift from my dad.

Item with the most sentimental value: Hearts On Fire Illa pendant. It was my first purchase when I started working at Bernie Robbins.

Most recent addition to her closet: A vintage navy-blue sequin Halston mini-dress.

Three pieces of jewelry every woman should own: Diamond stud earrings, Mikimoto pearls and an iconic Cartier timepiece.
