The Please Touch Museum held its 14th annual Great Friend to Kids Awards event on Nov. 19, hosting some 500 guests at Fairmount Park’s Memorial Hall. Bryn Mawr’s Anne Hamilton received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her many philanthropic endeavors supporting children, including more than 20 years of service on the Please Touch Museum’s board of directors. The Phillie Phanatic, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Grace Temple Church’s Cordella Hauser and attorney Tom Toscani were also recognized for their commitment to enriching the lives of young people. This year’s event raised $207,000 for the museum’s exhibits, educational efforts and community outreach programs.
