Gladwyne Montessori School hit a “Grand Slam” with its annual school auction Feb. 28 at Citizens Bank Park’s Hall of Fame Club. Guests mingled with the Phillie Phanatic and viewed memorabilia in Cooperstown Gallery, which honors former players. MVP ticket holders enjoyed a VIP tour of the park and use of the batting cages. Sought-after auction items included a week’s stay in a Paris apartment, a chef’s tasting for 10 at the Four Seasons, and a tour of Washington, D.C., arranged by Sen. Arlen Specter’s office. The evening raised more than $60,000 for the school.
