Pageboy Hair Salon Owner Shares her Style Musts

The Ardmore fashionista describes her look as “edgy-meets-glam.”

Nikki LaRussa Ciliberto, Owner, Pageboy Hair, Ardmore

Favorite designers: Haute Hippie, when I want a little sparkle. A Herve Leger dress, when I want to feel glam. And I’m so in love with my Valentino stud heels that I should wear them to bed.

Summer trends she’s looking forward to: My shoulders get a workout every day as a hairdresser, so I love that the one-shoulder look is trending.

She loves: Clothes! My closet wants to disown me right now. My daughter is so lucky I have such great things to share when she’s older.

Style icon: Jennifer Lopez. She works every outfit and is flawless head to toe. I love how relatable she is—I want to go shopping with her, have her talk me into buying something crazy but beautiful, and share a dirty martini with her while we gab like girlfriends.

Personal style: Edgy-meets-glam is the perfect way to describe my style. I’ll wear Stuart Weitzman booties with a Parker LBD any day.

Go-to casual outfit for a Saturday out: Because I stand all day, every day, you’d think that wearing flats and comfortable clothes would be my go-to, but I just can’t fathom compromising style. I’ll wear my J Brand or Frame skinny jeans, boots, black top, and Helmut Lang Sugar cropped jacket.

Go-to outfit for a Saturday night out in the city: I love a cropped Phillip Lim Moto jacket over a feminine Milly pink dress. It’s all about mixing and matching cool and feminine looks—kind of like my personality. My husband and I are probably headed to my father’s place, Dante & Luigi’s in South Philly, and I’m probably getting a sauce stain out of my dress the next day.

Fashion splurges: Alexander Wang halter-tops, Celine sunglasses, Saint Laurent handbags … when I’m not splurging on new hair products for the salon, of course.

Favorite blog: My marketing executive, Alexis, turned me on to a blogger from New York called SomethingNavy.com. I like how she draws on the high-low concept of mixing expensive with inexpensive pieces to create an effortless, chic look.

Top local boutiques: I love Skirt for the designers, Elizabeth Maar for the essentials, and Stacey Lee Boutique for trendy clothes and beautiful jewelry. All three are my go-to shops—and all are so close to Pageboy.

Advice she shares with clients: Beauty is about being the best possible version of yourself, inside and out.
