Linda and Ian Swain played gracious hosts to more than 300 guests at their Haverford home for MargaritaVilla Sept. 20. The dress code was island-casual, and guests were encouraged to kick off their shoes and wear the flip-flops handed out at the party. The menu featured delicious fare from an impressive culinary lineup of some of the best area restaurants, including Waterworks, Maia, Nectar, Gypsy and Stella Blu. Highlights of the event’s live auction included trips to Bora Bora and South Africa donated by the hosts’ Swain Tours of Ardmore. The event raised more than $90,000 to benefit the Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund, whose mission is to bring joy and comfort to children and teens, whose mothers are terminally ill or have died, by helping them keep alive the traditions and simple pleasures they shared.
