Meredith Scardino at this year's Emmy Awards» Emmy alert: Radnor High School alum Meredith Scardino (’94) must’ve made her English teachers proud—and her former classmates green with envy—when she and three other writers for The Colbert Report walked away from this year’s Emmy Awards toting statues for Best Writing in a Variety Series. It was the first win for this writing team and its leader, Stephen Colbert. Pictures of Scardino, looking radiant in an amethyst gown with her ear-to-ear smile, Meredith Scardino with her mom, dad and Emmyappeared on several entertainment websites following the Emmys. With her resume—which includes an undergraduate degree from Cornell University, a master’s in fine art from Parsons School of Design, and writing gigs at VH1 (Best Week Ever), CBS (The Late Show with David Letterman) and now Comedy Central—there are probably many more cool jobs to come for Scardino, who resides in New York. She’s gorgeous and talented, but don’t hold it against her. Underneath, she’s like the rest of us: Her sister, Karen Strid, reports that, before the Emmys, she actually undid the “prom-like” ringlet curls set by her hairdresser.

» Bam makes noise: The Main Line’s favorite Jackass, Bam Margera, and partner Don Moore (of Rex’s fame) have finally opened their much-anticipated live music club, The Note, on West Chester’s Market Street. The theater-style venue features a variety of national and regional indie-rock acts.
