A Day for Sarah

On Sept. 8, more than 130 guests spent a beautiful day on the greens of Philadelphia Cricket Club for the fourth annual golf invitational held in honor of Sarah Marie Rosato. “This event is a great opportunity for us to reflect on Sarah’s life and use her battle with cancer as a platform to improve the quality of life for patients after undergoing aggressive treatments,” says Catherine Rosato, Sarah’s sister. The Sarah Marie Rosato Fund is a non-profit organization established by the Rosato family after Sarah lost her battle with childhood cancer in 2001. Since its inception, the fund has donated more than $160,000 to the Abramson Cancer Center in support of Living Well After Childhood Cancer, a program that empowers survivors, and minimizes and controls patients’ potential side effects after surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. The daylong event ended with a spirited cocktail reception, dinner and awards ceremony.
