Maureen Doron, owner of the beloved Bryn Mawr women’s boutique Skirt, hosted an evening of cocktails and shopping on Sept. 17 to benefit HelpUsAdopt.org. More than 100 came out to show their support for the organization and its co-founder, Main Line native Becky Fawcett, whose mission is to build families by assisting with adoption costs through financial grants. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar provided food for the event, which raised $9,400 for the cause. Since launching in 2007, HelpUsAdopt.org has awarded more than $150,000 in grants for 22 families. “It was a wonderful night, and it gave people a meaningful reason to come out and shop,” says Fawcett.
