The scoop: Owners Biz and Tom Fogie are the coolest people ever—and their Lancaster County inn is a make-yourself-at-home, feel-good place for every member of the family. Kids will love helping with the chores, but the Fogies won’t look at you funny if you just want to spend your morning lounging in the hay.
Amenities: The Chicken Coop and Hayloft suites come with fully equipped kitchens and sofa- or trundle-beds for two children. The Garden Room and Pigpen come with bountiful breakfasts. All rooms feature whimsical wall murals and other décor items hand-painted by the Fogies’ artist daughter, Vicki Victoria, and son, Thomas. Outside, kids can explore the gardens and take up residence in the playhouse or tree house.
Don’t miss: If you’re up for a real adventure, take a single ($200) or tandem ($220) jump with the Maytown Sport Parachute Club (maytownparachute.bizland.com), or just ride along as an observer ($18).
