The scoop: This 19th-century cork manufacturing facility began a brand-new life last year as a cool, quirky boutique hotel. It will be clear that preservation was a priority when you see the original brick walls and exposed wood ceilings in the hotel’s 77 rooms and suites.

Amenities: The hotel’s Cork & Cap Restaurant boasts executive chef and Johnson & Wales graduate Tammy Hurley, who grew up on Lancaster County’s farm-fresh ingredients and Pennsylvania Dutch comfort foods. Her lunch, dinner and brunch menus offer local flavor, elevated with an upscale creativity.

Don’t miss: Get stoked for the holiday season with a self-guided cruise through the Gift of Lights at Elizabeth Farms in Lititz. Opening Nov. 18, the million-light display is located on the area’s largest Christmas tree farm and costs $15 per car.
