Q&A: ELLIE Main Line’s Diane Oliva

The Wayne boutique owner and Brandywine Trust operations analyst shares her personal style.

Diane Oliva

Personal style: Classic chic. I tend to favor tailored, slim silhouettes and use accessories to add pops of color and trendy twists.

Style icons: Jackie Kennedy Onassis. While her look changed dramatically, she always remained flawless. Victoria Beckham and Amal Clooney are both the definition of modern style. Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn embody an effortless chic vibe.

Fall trends she's wearing: Plaid, herringbone, camouflage, animal print, hot and pale pink, lavender and olive.

Go-to casual outfit for a fall weekend: Dark-wash skinny jeans, a gray- or camel-colored cashmere turtleneck, large silver hoops, stacked silver cuffs, suede booties, all finished with a cashmere wrap trimmed in suede or leather.

Favorite splurge: Vintage jewelry.

Favorite designers: Giorgio Armani, for his clean, tailored lines, and Carolina Herrera, for her timeless sophistication.

Most recent addition to her closet: A black Parker halter jumpsuit with wide legs that slit up the sides.

Favorite thing in her closet: My mother’s mink stole she bought in New York City in the 1950s. My mother was the epitome of ’50s glamour. When I was a child, she always wore it for a night out on the town with my father.

Winter trends she's looking forward to: I’m most looking forward to the new lines we’re bringing into the store—Alice and Olivia, Parker, 360 Cashmere, Zoe Couture, ASTARS and Leo & Ugo.
