More than 31,000 Birds fans got the NFL preseason off to a rousing start Aug. 2 at Eagles Flight Night at Lincoln Financial Field. The team showed its appreciation with a spirited rally that featured an introduction of the starting lineups, video presentations of past game highlights, and cheerleader performances. The crowd also got a taste of a team practice, complete with drills and some impressive plays by Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook. That was followed by a fireworks display. The event raised more than $1 million for the Eagles Youth Partnership, a nonprofit wing dedicated to improving opportunities and enhancing the quality of life for young people in the Philadelphia region.
