Marisa Porges

Head, The Baldwin School

Marisa Porges has been a Naval flight officer, served as a foreign policy advisor for the U.S. Secretary of Defense, and lent her expertise to the National Economic Council as a White House fellow. For her latest high-profile role, she’s come home to lead the Baldwin School.

The Penn Valley native took over as head of the Bryn Mawr institution this past July, becoming the first graduate of the 128-year-old school to do so. Apparently, the single-gender environment has served Porges well. “Being in an all-girls community let’s you find the confidence to own your passion and interests, be resilient in the face of failure, and find yourself,” she says.
