CEO and Director of U.S. Operations, Orchestra
Agathe Boidin fell in love with America as an 18-year-old au pair in San Francisco. Later, as the CFO of a French children’s and maternity clothing company, she saw her opportunity to return. “When I found out Orchestra was expanding to the U.S., I said, ‘I want to do it—I want to be a part of this story,’” says Boidin, who now lives with her family in Villanova.
Under Boidin, Orchestra launched its first North American outpost at King of Prussia Mall in May 2017. In France, she had 300 stores and more than 3,000 employees. “I’m used to having a lot of people and a big team around me, and I arrived alone here,” says Boidin.
Boidin’s roots with Orchestra go back almost to its beginning. Now, as the CEO and director of U.S. operations, she has witnessed the company grow to 600 stores in 40 countries. “When you work 18 years in a country in the same field, you have all the connections,” she says. “When I moved to the United States, I had to make these connections again.”
Boidin is already looking ahead to the next challenge: expanding the brand across the East Coast. “It was really great to be able to start from scratch in a new country,” she says.
