Two Food and Beer Festivals to Check out this Month

A bevy of tasty food and brews events are making their way to Philadelphia’s western suburbs.

Media Food & Crafts Festival
Oct. 7, Media

On Oct. 7 the Media Business Authority presents its 38th Annual Media Food & Crafts Festival along State Street. It features food from over 40 restaurants, and some 75 artisans are expected to showcase their creations. Several live performances are planned, plus free games and amusements in Veterans Square. Rain date is Oct. 14.

D-Town Brew-Down
Oct. 27, Downingtown

Downingtown has no shortage of great local brewing companies, including Victory and East Branch. The town is tapping into more homegrown talent for its inaugural D-Town Brew-Down, which takes place on Oct. 27 at the Downingtown Library. The rain-or-shine event features local home brewers competing for cash prizes. The People’s Choice winner will be featured as a small-batch special at a local brewery. Proceeds benefit the library.
