Founded in 1922, the Barnes Foundation houses a world-class art collection. The former Merion residence of Albert C. and Laura L. Barnes is nestled in a 12-acre arboretum, notable for more than 3,000 species of woody plants and trees. Merion is also home to the horticulture program and the foundation's archives.
