  • 2009: Vegetarian Dishes

Lauded by internationals for its spot-on authenticity—and by everyone else for its bounty, value and all-around deliciousness, this lunchtime spread (only $10 during the week) hits the mark for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Chicken, lamb and kebabs share space with curries, vegetable samosas, lentil soup and patties, a variety of rice dishes, sauces, a salad bar, and tasty regional sweets. And, naturally, we applaud the eatery’s enthusiastic all-you-can-eat policy.

Best Tandoori Chicken 2015: Owner/chef Zail Singh Shergill creates his own custom spice mix for the restaurant’s Tandoori Murgh—chicken marinated in yogurt, lemon and the aforementioned spices, then cooked in the tandoor to bright-red perfection. You’ll feel the heat, for sure—but in a good way.

Best Lunch Buffet 2016: Owner Zail Singh Shergill’s generous lunch spread is known for its authentic flavors and reasonable price. Options include outstanding tandoori breads, chicken, lamb and seafood, plenty of vegetarian offerings, and gulab jamun for dessert.
