Expectations are often low for the humble party platter—but Tredici might just be setting the bar unreasonably high. Is it possible to satisfy 30 guests with a traditional antipasto tray for less than $100? Tredici can do it for south of $80, and with the quality meats, cheeses and marinated delights we’ve come to expect from this much-loved Italian market. But don’t stop there. The panini platter boasts a selection of 13 signature sandwiches for $8 a head.

Best Shareable Sandwiches, 2017: Enjoy generous portions at this Euro-chic mini-market. Dig into one of its 13 original specialty sandwiches like Mediterranean tuna or prosciutto, Brie, truffle oil, toasted pine nuts and arugula. Or try a hot sammie like a gooey Asiago turkey with bacon, tomato and pesto mayo.

From 2015: Rows of imported Italian goods intermingle with Mediterranean oils, fresh pastas and gourmet sauces at Villanova alums Matt and Alana Huber’s food lovers’ paradise. Don’t skip Pepe’s Porketta, a decades-old recipe for center-cut pork stuffed with prosciutto, pancetta, fresh herbs and melted provolone.
