Over a dozen restaurants along Butler Avenue — which will close to traffic — are participating.

Butler Avenue is closing to traffic starting at 5 p.m. on July 24 for Ambler Restaurant Weekend. Running through July 26, the event allows restaurants to expand their outdoor dining spaces into the street, giving plenty of room for social distancing. More than a dozen participating restaurants and eateries will offer special menus, some with prix fixe offerings in the $25-$39 range, in addition to their tried-and-true fare.

Among the participants are Bridget’s Steakhouse, Costa’s Deli & Gina’s Amazing Cupcakes, Dettera, From the Boot, KC’s Alley, La Provence, Mokja, Pie and Plate Café, Saffron Indian Kitchen, Sweet Briar Café, Tannery Run Brew Works, Lucky Well, and Vida & Comida.

Organized by Ambler Main Street, the coordinators are working to create a safe and fun experience for area residents and visitors to dine out and support local restaurants. In addition to following state and CDC guidelines, restaurant weekend won’t have its usual festival-like atmosphere. Instead, restaurants will follow strict capacity limits, both inside and outdoors, and reservations are recommended.

Take-out will also be available. Visitors can find parking at area lots and on side streets intersecting with Butler Avenue.

Our Best of the Main Line Elimination Ballot is open through February 22!
