Prior to retiring after a distinguished Navy career, Dr. Funari was Associate Director of Specialty Surgery at Bethesda Naval Medical Center where he managed seven surgical departments and residencies. Board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesia, Dr. Funari has lectured nationally, currently serves as an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a consultant to the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation, Navy Postgraduate Dental School, and regional Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residencies. He is a delegate to the Pennsylvania Dental Association and is an officer of several local dental and surgical associations.
