Peter’s Place Benefit
On June 21, Peter’s Place held a fundraiser at Lucky Strike Lanes in Philadelphia, where more than 200 guests donning suits and cocktail dresses sported bowling shoes and knocked down pins in support of this esteemed Main Line center for grieving children and families. Berwyn’s Grace Ann Hoops, a Peter’s Place volunteer, took home the evening’s most stunning raffle prize: a spectacular diamond necklace. The event raised $40,000 for Peter’s Place programs. Entering its seventh year, Peter’s Place was founded on the belief that every child, teen and adult deserves to grieve in a supportive and understanding environment. This year, 300 families were served and thousands more benefited from its outreach initiatives. “It was a fun night,” says interim executive director Kathy Benelli of the event. —Tara Behan
