Up on the Roof Fundraiser
The more than 250 guests at the sixth annual Up on the Roof fundraiser June 7 enjoyed a spectacular view of downtown West Chester while enjoying appetizers from Trattoria Alberto, Butterfish, Spence Café, Limoncello and other local restaurants, a meal catered by Barnaby’s of America, and desserts from Gilmore’s. A live performance by guitarist Steve Laret was followed by dancing to music from the Toner Sound DJs. In keeping with the evening’s “Being Green” theme, raffle prizes included recycled and reusable bags filled with green products, live plants and energy-efficient lightbulbs. The event was a joint fund-raising effort between the West Chester Downtown Foundation and the West Chester Business Improvement District to promote the beautification of downtown West Chester. —Tara Behan
