And I can seriously get behind the addition of breakfast (especially when it involves crêpes and omelets), lunch and afternoon tea.
» Peanut butter and what? By now you may have heard about PB & U (pbandu.com), an innovative quick-service restaurant in Wayne. The concept is simple: Start with fresh peanut butter made on-site, choose two toppings—say, pickles and cheddar cheese—and devour. Barbara Balongue is the local designer behind the sleek space—and if all goes according to plan, it will be the first of many.
» Open-and-shut case: Another sad day in the life of restaurateur Scott Morrison came in July with the demise of Floret, just six months after its debut in the former Pond location in Radnor. Though a noble comeback in the face of the super-hyped disappointment that was Maia, this latest concept—a casual but upscale French bistro and private dining venue—couldn’t survive the faltering economy, changing trends and a concept that never quite made itself clear to customers (or management).
