Exton Square Mall Figures Into Dave Magrogan’s Latest Vision

Restaurateur takes stab at craft beer and wood-fired pizza.

>> MORE MAGROGAN: Ubiquitous local restaurateur Dave Magrogan will unveil Red Star Craft House, his 16th restaurant, in the Exton Square Mall as early as October. The new concept showcases craft beer, wood-fired dishes and pizza, and artisan meats and cheeses. It will have an outdoor bar with fire pits, a café with to-go beer and food, and a 150-seat dining room.

>> TIPPING POINT: Fishtown’s new French BYOB, Girard, is Philly’s first restaurant to ban tipping (and pay its staff accordingly). It’s backed by Cristian Mora and chef Brian Oliveira.

>> OUT OF THE ORDINARY: Hot on the heels of a Glen Mills location, the Massachusetts-based Not Your Average Joe’s Kitchen & Bar will debut its second Pennsylvania restaurant this fall in Ardmore’s Suburban Square.
