Late Spring Brings New Restaurant Openings

World of Beer, Harvest Seasonal Grill, Autograph Brasserie and Biga are all gearing up for May openings.

Several highly-anticipated restaurants are finally opening on the Main Line, after months of waiting. Here’s what you need to do know.

World of Beer will debut its first area location at Exton’s Main Street on May 9. It will be a must-visit mecca for craft beer lovers, offering more than 500 bottles, 50 daily-rotating taps, hard cider selections, cask-conditioned choices, an infusion tower where brew enhancements can be created “on the fly” and a state-of-the-art crowler system on site for instant can-able options for take-out. The food will focus on scratch-made tavern fare and there will be a 100-seat outdoor space, too. Get a sneak peek of World of Beer on May 1 from 5–11:30 p.m. All of the beer sales will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand. 270 Indian Run St., Exton, (610) 991-2863.

Restaurateur Dave Magrogan will open his sixth Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar on May 20 at Susanna Foo’s former space in Radnor. Magrogan’s newest Harvest will be a massive 7,000 square feet, featuring 200 seats in the dining room, 50 seats in an expansive new bar and a 60-seat private dining room. Three patios will accommodate 100, including a 25-seat private space. He is closing his West Chester location of Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House on May 1. 555 E. Lancaster Ave., Radnor.

We hear that Autograph Brasserie is getting really close to an opening date, hopefully in the beginning of May. Owner restaurateur Marty Grims, of White Dog Café, is opening in his former Peppercorn location. Chef Ralph Patrick Fernandes, formerly of Forage and currently manning the White Dog Haverford kitchen, will be behind the stove. 503 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, (610) 964-2588.

Biga Pizza + Beer is also close to opening. It’s owned by Sean Weinberg of Malvern favorite Restaurant Alba and promises wood-fired pizzas with interesting toppings, veggie small plates, handmade pasta and a serious craft beer list. According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, the pizza oven is in and they are testing out recipes. 810 Glenbrook Ave., Bryn Mawr, (610) 525-4800.
