Whole Foods to Open in Exton on Jan. 18

The long awaited market will offer local options, including cheese from Chester Springs.

We’ve long been anticipating the Whole Foods Market along Pottstown Pike, and following a brief interlude, the Exton location will officially open on Jan. 18. The market will host a traditional bread breaking ceremony to mark its opening.

More than 75 locally supplied products will join other brands that meet Whole Foods Market’s rigorous standards to line the shelves at this 50,000-square-foot location. Those include exclusive artisanal cheeses from Yellow Springs Farm in Chester Springs, a variety of beer from Victory Brewing Company, VÓ§r chocolate cups out of West Chester, and an assortment of mushrooms from Kennett Square’s Phillips Mushroom Farms and Mother Earth Organic Mushrooms, fresh from Landenberg.

This Whole Foods will also boast a Mexican eatery called Pike’s. It will serve tortas, tacos (with fresh tortillas made in-house from Doylestown favorite Castle Valley Mill grains), beer, tequila, mezcal and more. During warmer months, head upstairs to the large rooftop area and enjoy food and draft beer by the firepit.
